About Flow Renovations

A small Melbourne renovation business, carpenter-led, built on doing fewer jobs properly rather than more jobs quickly.

Flow Renovations is run by Sven, with Dean alongside him and a team of trusted subcontractors who have worked with us for years. Sven has ten years on the tools, with a carpentry background in restoration work, and has been running Flow Renovations since 2022. In that time we’ve completed well over a hundred projects.

Our workshop is in Williamstown North, which is where the business grew up — Sven is from the west. We’re now also based in Caulfield North, which is how we came to work across both sides of the city.

What we’re actually good at

Taking the thinking off you. Once you engage us, we don’t hand the problem back. We solve things before bringing them to you, and we only interrupt you for decisions that are genuinely yours to make — not to explain everything wrong with your house or why something can’t be done.

The practical version of that is fewer variations. We look properly before we price, so the number in your quote is the number that accounts for what your house is hiding. Our initial figure is sometimes higher than the cheapest one you get. Our final invoice is usually much closer to it, and that is where the saving actually lives.

The jobs we do best

Kitchens, bathrooms, ensuites and laundries — renovated properly and finished once. We’ve worked on most of what Melbourne is built from: post-war brick veneer, Californian bungalows, weatherboard cottages, townhouses and apartments, across a wide range of budgets.

What our best projects have in common has never been the size of the budget. It’s someone who has been thinking about the room for a while, has a sense of how they want to live in it, and is glad to hand the problem over. Give us the idea and we’ll work out how to get you there.
