Who we are

This website is run by Flow Renovations Pty Ltd (ABN 72 656 401 857), a renovation business working across Melbourne. If you have a question about anything on this page, email admin@flowrenovation.com or call 0424 560 582.

What you give us

If you fill in our enquiry form, we collect what you type into it: your name, phone number, email address, suburb, which service you’re asking about, your rough budget and timeframe, how you found us, and whatever you tell us about the project. If you call or email instead, we keep a record of that so we can follow it up properly.

We ask for these things for one reason — to work out whether we can help you and give you a useful answer. We don’t sell your details to anyone, and we won’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask.

What gets collected automatically

Like most websites, this one picks up some information without anyone typing anything.

The Meta Pixel. We use tracking code from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It records that a browser visited a page here, and whether an enquiry form was completed. It uses cookies and sends that information to Meta. We use it for two things: to see whether our Facebook and Instagram advertising is actually producing enquiries, and to show our ads to people who have visited the site before.

Web hosting. The site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses. Enquiries sent through the form are stored by Netlify and emailed to us.

Fonts. The typefaces here are served by Google Fonts, which means Google receives a request from your browser when a page loads.

How to stop the tracking

You have real options, and none of them stop you using the site.

• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings — every major browser can do this, and most can block third-party cookies specifically.
• Turn on your browser’s tracking protection. Firefox, Safari and Brave block this kind of code by default.
• Change what Meta is allowed to use, under Ad Preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
• Use a browser extension that blocks trackers.

Who else sees your information

Only the businesses that help us run things: Meta for advertising measurement, Netlify for hosting and forms, Google for fonts and for the search tools we use to see how the site is performing, and our email provider. Each handles information under their own terms, and some store data outside Australia.

We’d also disclose information if the law required it. Beyond that, nobody.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while we’re talking to you and for a reasonable period afterwards, because people often come back a year or two later. If you’d like yours deleted, ask and we’ll do it.

Seeing or deleting what we hold

You can ask what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email admin@flowrenovation.com and we’ll sort it out. No charge, and you don’t need to give a reason.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled a privacy matter, tell us first and we’ll try to put it right. If that doesn’t resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect what we hold, but no website or email system is perfectly secure. Please don’t send anything highly sensitive through the enquiry form — a bank account number, for instance. We’ll never ask you for one by email.

Children

This site is aimed at homeowners, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change how any of this works, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top.
